| The people at MBA Actuaries are
dedicated to providing solutions to your insurance and risk management
problems. We find the actuarial profession fascinating, challenging and
dynamic. Through the years, our staff has contributed much in the way
of service to the profession:
• Three members of our staff have won the
Matthew
Rodermund Service Award (a CAS prize awarded annually for
service to the profession), more than any other firm, large or
small. One of our members has also won the Jarvis
Farley
Award
(an American Academy of Actuaries prize awarded anually for service to
the profession).
• Our staff has had a long
tradition of speaking at actuarial and industry functions and
publishing papers. We pride ourselves on being insightful as well as
practical. A book edited by Jim Toole, Mergers
& Acquisitions, as well as articles
such as Trend and Loss Development Factors by Chap Cook have provided the
actuarial
community
with tools to solve insurance problems.
• Members of the firm have served at the
board level and/or on dozens of committees for every major US actuarial
organization including the American
Academy of
Actuaries (AAA), the Conference
of Consulting Actuaries (CCA), the Casualty
Actuarial
Society (CAS) and the Society of
